[Recipe] Tiramisu
Tiramisu for 5x9 in. pan
Ingredients:
- Filling:
2 eggs
8 oz. mascarpone cheese
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon espresso (cold)
1 teaspoon amaretto
- Coffee Syrup:
1/2 cup (120 ml.) espresso (cold)
1/4 cup amaretto (liqueur)
- Lady fingers
1 package of Forno Bonami's Savoiardi *
- Garnish
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions:
- Filling:
1. Separate egg whites and egg yolks.
2. Mix the egg yolks and the mascarpone. Add espresso and amaretto.
3. Whip the egg whites. Add sugar gradually and whip until stiff peaks form.
4. Mix the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture.
- Coffee Syrup:
1. Combine the espresso and the amaretto.
- Assembly:
1. Dip Savoiardi lightly in the Coffee Syrup because it is very absorbent. Place a single layer of the Savoiardi in the bottom of the pan. **

2. Pour half of the Filling over the dipped Savoiardi.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. Refrigerate about 5 hours.
5. Sprinkle with cocoa powder before serving.
Note:
* If you use Trader Joe's lady fingers, you may need two package of it.
** If you use Trader Joe's lady fingers, you can soak it in the Coffee Syrup.
