In the beginner's class, we did the following routine:
1. (1) Step backward with the right foot.

Bend the right knee while squeezing the right knee to the left knee to pull the follower's foot forward. Move the right foot forward to push the follower's foot. Don't shift the weight to the right foot.

About the previous class: [Dance] Nora's Argentine Tango No.19
During the Basic Steps practice time in the beginner's class, Nora gave me some advice on how to lead the follower to more easily cross their feet in Basic Step 5. First, rotate my upper body to the right a little in Basic Step 3. Second, maintain the rotation during Basic Step 4. Third, return the upper body position to neutral with a little rise in Basic Step 5.
In the beginner's class, we started with learning an acceleration move. The routine goes like this:
1. (S) Step backward with the right foot.
2. (S) Step to the left with the left foot.
3. (S) Step forward with the right foot.
4. (Q) Step forward with the left foot.
5. (Q) Close the right foot to the left foot and shift the weight to the right foot.
6. (S) Step forward with the left foot.
7. (S) Step to the right with the right foot.
8. (S) Close the left foot to the right foot and shift the weight to the left foot.
S: Slow
Q: Quick
Then we added Back Ocho into the above routine. It goes like this:
1. (S) Step backward with the right foot.
2. (S) Step to the left with the left foot. Close the right foot to the left foot, shift the weight to the right foot and rotate the upper body to the left a little to rotate the follower to the left (Back Ocho).
3. (S) Step forward with the left foot. Squeeze the right foot to the left foot. Rotate the follower to the right (Back Ocho).
4. (S) Step to the right with the right foot to step the follower backward. Close the left foot to the right foot and shift the weight to the left foot. Rotate the follower to the left (Back Ocho?).
5. (S) Step forward with the right foot (Basic Step 3).
6. (Q) Step forward with the left foot (Basic Step 4).

8. (S) Step forward with the left foot (Basic Step 6).
9. (S) Step to the right with the right foot (Basic Step 7).
10. (S) Close the left foot to the right foot and shift the weight to the left foot (Basic Step 8).
Nora pointed out that I should move somewhat more straight forward instead of moving to the side while I do Back Ocho.
Then, we modified the routine using Contra Media Vuelta. The routine goes like this:
1. (S) Step backward with the right foot.
2. (S) Step to the left with the left foot. Close the right foot to the left foot, shift the weight to the right foot and rotate the upper body to the left a little to rotate the follower to the left (Back Ocho).

6. (Q) Hook the right foot behind the left foot. The follower does the same.
7. (Q) Step to the left with the left foot. The follower does the same.
8. (S) Step forward with the right foot. The follower does the same. Pivot on the right foot to the right and squeeze the left foot to the right foot to pivot the follower to the right. The dancers stand almost perpendicular to each other.
9. (S) Rotate the body to the left to cross the follower's feet.
10. (S) Step forward with the left foot (Basic Step 6).
11. (S) Step to the right with the right foot (Basic Step 7).
12. (S) Close the left foot to the right foot and shift the weight to the left foot (Basic Step 8).

6. (S) Step the follower forward (left foot). Step forward with the left foot (aiming close to where the follower's right foot is located?) Pivot on the left foot to the left to pivot the follower on their left foot to the left.
7. (S) Step the follower to the right with the right foot. Step forward with the right foot and do Sacada to pivot the follower on their right foot to the left. Pivot on the right foot to the left and squeeze the left foot to the right foot.

About the previous class: [Dance] Nora's Argentine Tango No.18
In the beginner's class, we did the following routine:
1. Step backward with the right foot.
2. Step to the left with the left foot. This step can be smaller than step 2 of the usual Basic Steps. Close the right foot to the left foot and shift the weight to the right foot.

This backward step should not change the distance between the dancers because the follower pivots counterclockwise on their right foot while the leader is stepping backward (Calisita). The follower extends their left foot forward while they are pivoting (Planeo).
6. Step backward with the right foot to pivot the follower.
8. Step backward with the left foot to pivot the follower.

In the beginner's class, we did the following routine:
1-3. The same as the Basic steps.
4. Close the left foot to the right foot and shift the weight to the left foot. Rotate the upper body to the right and pivot the follower on their left foot to the right. The dancers stand almost perpendicular to each other.

6. Step forward with the right foot (Basic Step 3) to move the follower backward (left foot).
7. Step forward with the left foot (Basic Step 4) to move the follower backward (right foot).
8. Perform the Basic steps from 5 to 8.
Then we modified the routine above from step 5. The new routine goes like this.
5. Step to the right with the right foot to move the follower backward (right foot). Lead the follower into Ocho (on their right foot to the left). Squeeze the left foot to the right foot without shifting the weight.
6. Step forward with the left foot to move the follower backward (left foot).
7. Rotate the body to the right to pivot the follower on their left foot to the right. Then step the follower backward (right foot). Move the right foot forward and touch the outside of the the follower's left foot with the right foot. Pivot on the right foot to the right. Clamp the follower's left foot with the leader's feet (Mordida).
8. Step backward with the right foot to lead the follower into Mordida.
9. Move the follower forward to step over the leader's left foot. Pivot the follower on their right foot to the right (about a half turn?) then rotate the follower to the left (so their feet will cross?)
10. Step forward with the left foot (Basic Step 6) to move the follower backward (right foot).
11. Step to the right with the right foot (Basic Step 7).

6. Rotate the hips to the left. Bring the right foot up and hook the back of the right knee into the back of the follower's left knee (Gancho) (need to bend the left knee?).
7. Lower the right foot and place it in between the follower's feet. Shift the weight to the right foot and push the follower's left foot with the outside of the right foot (Sacada) to start pivoting the follower on their right foot to the left.
8. Keep pivoting the follower to the left. Then step the follower backward (left foot). Place the left foot in between the follower's feet (close to the follower's left foot). Shift the weight to the left foot and rotate the body to the left to lead the follower into Gancho. The follower stands perpendicular to the leader, facing to the leader's right.
